Import contacts from any spreadsheet saved as a CSV file: choose the file, match the columns, review, then import.
Get your file ready
Save your spreadsheet as a CSV file in UTF-8, with one row per contact. A file can hold up to 10,000 rows and 5 MB. If your leads are in Google Sheets or Excel, download or save the sheet as CSV first.
ZiReach does not connect to Google Sheets directly yet. A CSV file is the way to bring a sheet in.
Import in four steps
- Source: choose your CSV file, or drop it on the page. Find the import from the Leads view with Import CSV.
- Map columns: ZiReach suggests which column is the name, phone, email, project or interest, location and notes. Check the ones marked low and map at least a phone or an email column.
- Review: you see how many rows are new, how many match people you already have and how many need a fix. Download the rows to fix, correct them and import that file again.
- Import: choose Import. You can leave the page while it runs.
Phone numbers need their country code, for example +44.
Consent
Imported contacts are marked Consent unknown, because a file does not say whether they agreed to messages. WhatsApp follow-ups to them start only after they reply or opt in.
Who can import
Owners and Admins can import. A Manager can import too, but an Owner or Admin approves it before anything is added. Past imports, with their counts, are listed under the importer.
